Australia Highlights

Here are some of our thoughts on must-do Australia activities. Special mention goes to Kangaroo Island for its incredible wildlife also.

Visiting Uluru

We simply cannot imagine a more appropriate and awe inspiring start to an Australia holiday. Even if you don't expect to be wowed, you will be.

Wine Tasting at Jacob's Creek

If you love your wine like we do, the Barossa Valley is well worth the short drive from Adelaide. What the Jacob's Creek visitor centre lacks in authenticity, it makes up in high quality wines.

Driving the Great Ocean Road

An awesome drivers road. Hours of breathtaking scenery and seriously fun roads that snake along the coastline - and that's despite the speed limits and traffic police!

Phillip Island Penguin Parade

An evening you'll never forget, getting up close to these gorgeous Little Penguins in a very natural and unspoilt environment south of Melbourne - albeit with hundreds of other nature lovers!

Snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef

A world class tourist attraction and deservedly so. Worlds apart from snorkelling off the beach - here you are in 30 feet or so of water - and well worth the less than flattering stinger suits.

4WD on Fraser Island

Don't be fooled - this is an adventure tour, not just a car hire! Challenging for sure, but with a real feeling of achievement when you and the car make it back to base in one piece!

Humpback Whale Watching

We'd been whale watching before in Kaikoura, New Zealand, but it's not where you go that is important - it's which whales you see. Humpback Whales are well known for being friendly and fun and are just majestic to see up close!

Sydney Sights

No trip to Australia is complete without a tour of the iconic Sydney sights. It's a great way to round off the trip and it'll leave you wishing you didn't have to go home.
